During February 2025, JB contributed to the DataDog/documentation repository by delivering a feature focused on clarifying Agentless Scanning costs and deployment guidance. JB refactored Markdown documentation to provide per-host, per-year cost estimates and recommended configurations, helping users understand that costs are tied to cloud provider services used by scanners. The work emphasized Terraform-based deployment strategies to optimize expenses, regrouping agentless cost information for improved clarity. JB’s efforts centered on documentation skills and Markdown, with a technical approach that prioritized transparency and actionable guidance. While no bugs were fixed, the work demonstrated depth in addressing customer cost optimization needs.
