During May 2025, Avila Gas developed a namespace-agnostic Helm service account for the restatedev/restate repository, focusing on enhancing deployment flexibility within Kubernetes environments. By removing the namespace field from the service account metadata in the Helm chart, Avila enabled seamless deployments across multiple namespaces, reducing the need for environment-specific customization. This technical approach simplified Helm chart configuration and supported multi-tenant readiness, aligning with broader platform objectives. The work was implemented using YAML and leveraged Helm and Kubernetes expertise. Although the contribution was limited to a single feature, it addressed a clear deployment challenge and improved the project’s operational consistency.
