Worked on the openshift/release repository to upgrade the kubevirt CSI Driver, focusing on compatibility and performance improvements for OpenShift 4.22. The project involved updating the kubevirt-csi-driver’s build process to use Go 1.25, ensuring consistent and reliable builds across the stack. Leveraging skills in containerization, DevOps, and Kubernetes, the developer implemented changes primarily in YAML to update golang image references and orchestrate CI validation. This work established a stable upgrade baseline for OpenShift deployments, streamlined the release path for future platform versions, and enhanced operational consistency for Kubernetes-based environments without introducing new bugs during the upgrade process.
