Worked on the aws/sagemaker-distribution repository to address a stability issue affecting JupyterLab shared spaces during recovery workflows. Focused on a targeted bug fix, the developer modified the server’s startup logic so that real-time collaboration is now enabled only when not in recovery mode. This adjustment prevents unintended activation of collaborative features during recovery, reducing user disruption and improving reliability for end-user collaboration. The solution was implemented using Shell scripting and leveraged skills in Cloud Computing and DevOps. Over the course of the month, the work contributed to a more stable experience for users working in SageMaker shared environments.
