Worked on the elastic/terraform-provider-elasticstack repository to address a serialization issue with Slack API connector channel IDs, ensuring consistent application behavior across different Kibana versions. The approach involved normalizing the .slack_api configuration in Kibana’s SlackApiConfig using the defaults path, and implementing both unit and acceptance regression tests to validate the fix and prevent future regressions. Version-gated test coverage was added to maintain compatibility from Kibana 8.11.0 through 9.3.0 and beyond. Documentation and examples were updated to clarify channel name and ID requirements, leveraging Go for backend development, API integration, and comprehensive automated testing.
