During November 2025, Ayoundukie enhanced the autoupdate process for the ScoopInstaller/Main repository by introducing support for subdirectory extraction within release zip files, specifically targeting the Unison package. This work involved updating the unison.json manifest and release packaging to accommodate nested asset structures, thereby improving the reliability and automation of version updates. Using JSON for manifest management and applying configuration management and software packaging skills, Ayoundukie ensured end-to-end traceability through explicit commit references. The solution reduced manual intervention in the release workflow, demonstrating a focused approach to release automation and maintainability within the context of open-source package management.
