
Ayushi contributed to the Netflix-Skunkworks/service-capacity-modeling repository by building and refining capacity planning features for distributed systems. She implemented zonal capacity planning and resource derivation, enabling accurate calculations of CPU, memory, network, and disk requirements per zone, and integrated Cassandra-backed buffer calculations for scalable modeling. Using Python, she addressed disk allocation bugs by improving logic for EBS-backed volumes and enhanced disk usage accuracy by factoring in cluster instance counts. Her work also introduced memory preservation logic based on derived buffers, supported by comprehensive tests. Ayushi’s focus on backend development, system design, and database optimization improved reliability and maintainability.
