Worked on the nats-io/nats-server repository to enhance the reliability and compliance of OCSP-based certificate validation. Addressed a bug in OCSP request URL encoding by implementing a dedicated function to base64-encode and URL-encode DER-encoded OCSP requests, ensuring correct handling of certificate status checks. Strengthened the codebase with comprehensive unit tests to verify encoding and decoding logic, reducing the risk of future regressions. Focused on backend development using Go, with an emphasis on cryptography and networking. These changes improved TLS-related reliability for clients, minimized OCSP-related failure modes, and contributed to greater deployment stability and auditability within the project.
