Worked on enhancing DNS resolution accuracy within the anthropics/claude-code repository by refining the firewall workflow. Addressed a bug where the dig command previously included CNAME records, which could lead to misconfigurations in firewall rules. Implemented a targeted Shell script update to filter out CNAME records and process only A records, ensuring that only valid IP addresses are used for access control. This DevOps-focused patch improved the reliability of network policy enforcement and operational stability. Delivered as a single, low-risk commit, the change was easy to review and roll back, demonstrating careful attention to maintainability and network security.
