Worked on the elastic/apm-agent-dotnet repository to deliver a targeted upgrade of the MongoDB.Driver dependency, focusing on compatibility and maintainability. The effort involved updating the MongoDB.Driver package from version 2.28.0 to 3.0.0 and removing the now-redundant MongoDB.Driver.Core reference, aligning the project with standard .NET dependency management practices. Using C# and leveraging NuGet Package Management, the work consolidated dependencies to ensure smoother integration with newer MongoDB servers and .NET tooling. No major bugs were addressed during this period, as the primary focus was on preparing the codebase for future enhancements and reducing ongoing maintenance complexity.
