In January 2026, Bafuchen integrated the Numbers Protocol into the coinbase/x402 repository, establishing a decentralized media provenance and licensing network with client-side integration. This work enabled verifiable provenance and licensing workflows for digital assets, supporting new business models in digital media. Bafuchen focused on client-side integration patterns, using JSON for data interchange and leveraging skills in decentralized applications and digital asset management. The integration provided a foundation for future licensing workflows and asset attribution, with no major bugs reported. The depth of the work demonstrated a strong understanding of protocol onboarding and ecosystem integration within a production codebase.
