In June 2025, Baitbaev focused on enhancing the user experience for foreign passport image capture within the DesignChili2 repository. He developed and integrated a guided overlay feature into the OverlaysFragment, using Kotlin and Java to ensure seamless UI behavior on Android devices. His work included refining the overlay’s mask alignment and removing unnecessary description text, resulting in a more intuitive and visually clear interface. By addressing the alignment and clarity of the capture overlay, Baitbaev enabled users to submit passport photos more reliably. The project demonstrated depth in UI development and thoughtful application of mobile and UI/UX design principles.
