During November 2025, Balamurugan Radhakrishnan developed a Shared Kafka Test Broker for Orders and Payments in the eugenp/tutorials repository. He designed a unified broker with dedicated listeners for both domains, enabling comprehensive end-to-end testing of message flows between order and payment services. Using Java, Kafka, and Spring Boot, he implemented automated tests to validate message consumption, ensuring reliability in critical commerce workflows. This work addressed integration risks and supported faster release cycles by improving test coverage. The feature, co-authored with a teammate, demonstrated depth in listener-based design and effective cross-team collaboration, though no major bugs were addressed during this period.
