In July 2025, Balvisio developed the NeMo Agent Toolkit Object Store Subsystem for the NVIDIA/NeMo-Agent-Toolkit repository, delivering a foundational feature for scalable, backend-agnostic data storage. The subsystem introduced a pluggable architecture with core interfaces, models, and exception handling, supporting S3, MySQL, and in-memory backends. Using Python, SQLAlchemy, and FastAPI, Balvisio designed the system to store and retrieve binary data with associated metadata, providing example configurations and usage patterns to streamline integration. This work addressed the need for flexible object storage in agent workflows, enabling consistent data management across diverse environments and laying groundwork for future extensibility.
