Developed a comprehensive deployment and verification tutorial for the LLaVA-OneVision-Qwen2-0.5B-OV model on Ascend NPUs within the vllm-project/vllm-ascend repository. The work focused on creating detailed documentation in Markdown, outlining end-to-end steps for deploying and validating the model using Bash scripts. The tutorial addressed both text-only and image-understanding scenarios, ensuring clarity for users targeting the Ascend 910B2C environment with vLLM 0.11.0. Manual functional verification was performed to confirm the accuracy of the instructions. This contribution enhanced the repository’s documentation, supporting reproducible model deployment workflows without introducing code changes or bug fixes.
