Worked on the thunderbird/thunderbird-android repository to deliver Italian localization for accessibility descriptions within the Android design system. Focused on expanding support for Italian-speaking users, the work involved integrating translations using XML and managing the i18n workflow through Weblate. This approach improved accessibility coverage and ensured consistency in localization across the design system’s user interface. Collaboration with localization teams facilitated a smooth translation process, laying the foundation for future internationalization efforts. No major bugs were addressed during this period, with efforts concentrated on feature delivery and process improvement. Demonstrated skills included Android development, localization, and cross-team communication.
