Focused on documentation using Markdown, the developer addressed a critical bug affecting upgrade behavior by correcting the CordonStatus for spare Bare Metal Machines (BMMs) from Uncordoned to Cordoned. They also implemented stricter role-based access controls, ensuring that only BMMs with the control-plane role could serve as spares while others remained compute-plane, thereby reducing upgrade risk and downtime. The work prioritized stability and robust RBAC enforcement, contributing to a more secure and predictable upgrade process without introducing new features this month.
