During November 2024, Basokanthan focused on enhancing the hackwestern/hackwestern frontend by delivering targeted improvements to user experience and onboarding. Working primarily with React, TypeScript, and JavaScript, Basokanthan streamlined the Live page by removing an unnecessary authentication redirect, which simplified server-side logic and improved load times. They also updated the Access Starter Pack button to open a Notion resource in a new tab, making onboarding more intuitive for new users. Additionally, Basokanthan addressed UI issues in the schedule component, ensuring accurate day-name display and improved image layout. The work demonstrated thoughtful attention to both usability and maintainability within the codebase.
