Bas contributed to the qgis/QGIS and qgis/QGIS-Documentation repositories by developing and refining user-facing features that enhance editing workflows in GIS applications. Over two months, Bas focused on improving the Offset Curve and Fill Ring tools, implementing contextual help text and detailed tooltips using C++, Qt, and XML to clarify advanced options and reduce user errors. In addition, Bas addressed rendering issues in the Vertex Editor to improve visual clarity during geometry editing. Documentation updates in reStructuredText further clarified tool usage and editing workflows, reducing onboarding friction and support overhead. The work demonstrated thoughtful attention to both usability and maintainability.
