He improved the Helm chart’s reliability by ensuring the manual backup configuration in YAML is only applied when explicitly defined, preventing undefined values from causing deployment failures. This update included aligning the chart structure with the latest standards and bumping the version to 2.6.1. Working with Kubernetes and Helm, Bas’s targeted fix enhanced production deployment stability and maintainability, providing a safer upgrade path for users who depend on robust backup configurations.
