During February 2025, Xingyu developed and integrated an Instant Messaging API plugin, named 'im_api', into the MCDReforged/PluginCatalogue repository. This work focused on plugin development using Java, delivering a minimal yet effective extension that enables IM API integration within the existing catalogue. The implementation was intentionally lightweight, reducing risk and maintenance overhead while ensuring the plugin architecture remains extensible for future messaging capabilities. Xingyu’s approach emphasized straightforward integration, clear documentation, and traceable commit history, supporting auditability and maintainability. Although the scope was limited to a single feature, the work laid a foundation for future IM-related enhancements in the project.
