During this period, contributed a cross-platform compatibility enhancement to the trpc/trpc repository by making react-dom an optional peer dependency in the @trpc/tanstack-react-query package. This adjustment, implemented through careful dependency management and package configuration using JSON, allowed mobile developers working with React Native or Expo to adopt tRPC with TanStack Query without unnecessary installation requirements. The approach preserved correct dependency behavior for web users, ensuring stability across platforms. Validation included updating build processes, running tests, and revising release documentation to reflect the change. The work focused on reducing onboarding friction and improving the developer experience for both web and mobile teams.
