Worked on the ROCm/aomp repository to improve build hygiene and process isolation by introducing a dedicated build directory for intermediate artifacts. Leveraging Shell scripting and build automation skills, the developer modified the build process to ensure the BUILD_AOMP directory is created and used consistently, preventing build-time errors related to directory management. This approach decoupled build outputs from the source tree, enhancing reproducibility and simplifying artifact cleanup in continuous integration environments. The work focused on scripting reliable build steps and managing file system organization, resulting in cleaner build management and more predictable CI outcomes without addressing bug fixes during the period.
