During February 2025, Bebe Chien developed and integrated PaliGemma2 mix checkpoints and presets for the keras-team/keras-hub repository, supporting 3B, 10B, and 28B model configurations at 224 and 448 image resolutions. Using Python and leveraging configuration management and model integration skills, Bebe updated the convert_pali_gemma2_checkpoints.py script to map these new checkpoints, enabling seamless compatibility with existing workflows. This work improved deployment flexibility and reproducibility by making configurable checkpoints available in release artifacts and documentation. The engineering effort focused on enhancing downstream fine-tuning pipelines, demonstrating depth in machine learning model integration within a collaborative open-source environment.
