Worked on the valkey-io/valkey repository to enhance the reliability of client tracking by addressing prefix collision handling. Focused on refining the checkPrefixCollisionsOrReply function in C to ensure it correctly returns zero for self-overlaps, thereby preventing erroneous collision detection. Expanded the unit test suite to cover scenarios involving self-collision and overlapping prefixes, reinforcing the robustness of the prefix management system. Applied software debugging techniques to identify and resolve a critical bug affecting prefix tracking logic. Leveraged expertise in C programming and unit testing to deliver a targeted fix that improved the correctness and stability of the client tracking subsystem.
