Worked on the ente-io/ente repository to enhance Android deep link security by refining how the application processes incoming intents. Focused on risk reduction, the developer updated the AndroidManifest to remove the ente-auth:// scheme and restricted deep link handling exclusively to enteauth://search, thereby preventing unintended scheme activation. This change maintained the intended user experience while aligning with security and product risk objectives. The work involved close collaboration with other contributors and demonstrated accountability through co-authored commits. Leveraged skills in Android development, CI/CD, and Git, and utilized Java, JavaScript, and YAML to implement and validate the security-focused improvements in production.
