By updating the Finicky Homebrew Cask to version 4.1.2 and revising the SHA256 checksum, Belak ensured that package downloads remained secure and reproducible across user environments. This work required a strong understanding of Homebrew’s package management system and proficiency in Ruby, as well as attention to detail in managing cask metadata. Although the period did not involve new feature development, Belak’s targeted bug fix improved release reliability and prevented potential installation failures for end users relying on Homebrew.
