Worked on the accelleran/helm-charts repository to enhance upgrade reliability and streamline deployment processes within Kubernetes environments. Delivered two features: introduced Kubernetes-version suffixing for acc-generic-img tags using Renovate-driven loose versioning, which improved compatibility during upgrades, and simplified the Keycloak initialization process in the drax Helm chart by removing the package installation step and relying on pre-installed dependencies. This approach reduced initialization time and minimized network usage, addressing potential failures during deployment. The work leveraged skills in CI/CD, Helm, and Kubernetes, with changes implemented primarily in YAML and shell scripting to support more predictable and efficient deployment workflows.
