Dec 1, 2024In December 2024, I delivered two critical changes to the Deploy Preprod workflow for compdemocracy/polis: (1) a feature to create an empty .env file during preprod deployment to guarantee environment files exist for build/deploy scripts, and (2) a bug fix for artifact copying from the file-server container, addressing how artifacts are transferred and removing brittle container ID references. These changes improve preprod reliability, reduce deployment failures, and accelerate the release cycle. Demonstrated CI/CD proficiency, container workflow handling, and artifact management with clear commit traceability.
