During October 2025, btc@amazon.com enhanced the aws-games/cloud-game-development-toolkit by adding VDI Module Driver Installation support for the g6 instance type. This update expanded the toolkit’s compatibility with the latest AWS GPU instances, enabling smoother deployments for customers working in cloud-based game development environments. The work involved updating PowerShell-based infrastructure as code scripts to recognize and configure the new g6 family, ensuring seamless driver installation and reducing manual intervention.
