Souhaieb Besbes upgraded the MongoDB.Driver dependency for the elastic/apm-agent-dotnet repository, focusing on compatibility and maintainability. By moving from version 2.28.0 to 3.0.0 and removing the redundant MongoDB.Driver.Core reference, Souhaieb streamlined dependency management and aligned the project with standard .NET practices. This work, implemented in C# and leveraging NuGet Package Management, improved the repository’s compatibility with newer MongoDB servers and .NET tooling. Although no bugs were fixed during this period, the upgrade laid the groundwork for future enhancements and reduced maintenance overhead, demonstrating a methodical approach to dependency consolidation and long-term project health.
