During May 2025, Khalil Bessaad developed a Fireworks cost configuration for the deepseek-v3 model within the Helicone/helicone repository. He implemented this feature using TypeScript and full stack development skills, enabling accurate billing and usage tracking for customers of the Fireworks provider. By integrating model-specific cost data, Khalil’s work improved cost transparency and supported customer budgeting and chargeback processes. The technical approach ensured all changes were traceable and maintainable, laying the foundation for future analytics and model-specific pricing enhancements. Although no major bugs were reported, Khalil completed minor maintenance tasks to support the new feature and ensure system stability.
