Developed VirtioSCSI storage controller support for the VirtualBox provider in the hashicorp/vagrant repository, expanding storage configuration options for users working with virtualization environments. The implementation involved enhancing provider configuration logic using Ruby to integrate VirtioSCSI as a selectable storage controller, thereby improving compatibility and flexibility for virtual machine setups. Additionally, refined error messaging to clearly enumerate supported storage types, reducing user confusion during provider selection and setup. This work focused on both backend integration and user experience, laying the groundwork for broader VirtioSCSI adoption across providers and contributing to more transparent and maintainable virtualization workflows within the project.
