Developed and delivered a targeted feature for the netbox-community/netbox repository, expanding Ethernet interface type support to include 10GE and 40GE options. This work addressed the need for high-speed network compatibility by introducing new interface types through precise, well-scoped changes in Python. The implementation ensured clear traceability by linking changes directly to the relevant issue, supporting maintainability and audit requirements. Focused on networking and software engineering best practices, the developer documented the business impact of the update, enabling users to configure advanced network interfaces within NetBox. No bug fixes were recorded during this period, emphasizing a feature-driven contribution.
