During July 2025, Bielu worked on the open-telemetry/opentelemetry-dotnet-contrib repository, focusing on deprecating the Stackdriver exporter and migrating the codebase to the OTLP protocol. This involved updating dependencies, aligning Google Cloud library versions, and implementing Obsolete attributes in C# to guide users toward the new pipeline. Bielu provided clear migration guidance to ensure downstream interoperability and long-term maintainability. The work emphasized API development, code deprecation, and dependency management, addressing the need for reduced risk and improved compatibility. Although the scope was limited to a single feature, the changes were thoughtfully executed and targeted a critical modernization effort.
