Worked on the external-secrets/external-secrets repository to enhance SSH-based workflows by introducing support for ECDSA SSH keys. Focused on backend development using Go, the work involved implementing both key generation and configuration updates to enable modern cryptography within the platform. This addition aligned configuration management with current security best practices, allowing for ECDSA-based SSH authentication and paving the way for broader cryptographic key support. Contributions were made with clear, auditable commit messages and collaborative development practices. The work demonstrated a strong grasp of API development and backend engineering, addressing security requirements through practical, maintainable code changes over the course of the month.
