Developed Azure OpenAI Client Tracing and Observability for the getsentry/sentry-javascript repository, expanding the existing OpenAI instrumentation to support Azure OpenAI. This work introduced comprehensive tracing support in the Node.js client, enabling enhanced end-to-end visibility into AI interactions within production environments. Leveraging JavaScript and full stack development skills, the implementation included robust API integration and the addition of targeted tests to verify observability of Azure OpenAI interactions. By increasing test coverage and reliability, the changes accelerated issue triage and strengthened monitoring capabilities. The approach focused on maintainable code and thorough testing to ensure reliable observability for AI-driven workflows.
