Worked on the truenas/scale-build repository to deliver a dedicated Ransomwared Protection Service, enhancing deployment security by integrating a new package into the build manifest with versioning and installation commands. Leveraged YAML for manifest configuration and applied package management and system administration skills to ensure reliable deployment and service lifecycle management. Addressed a targeted bug by renaming the ransomwared service to rwd, updating service management commands, and ensuring correct inclusion in builds. Collaborated closely with peers to improve build pipeline reliability and traceability, focusing on accurate service naming and robust DevOps practices throughout the two-month contribution period.
