Developed a hardware monitoring enhancement for the librenms/librenms repository by implementing new alert rules targeting Dell DRAC and OME-M hardware sensors. This feature leveraged PHP and system monitoring skills to integrate seamlessly with the existing alerting framework, enabling proactive detection and notification of sensor anomalies. The approach focused on configuration management to ensure maintainability and scalability within the monitoring infrastructure. By automating alerts for hardware sensor issues, the work reduced potential downtime and improved mean time to detect faults.
