During June 2026, work on the openeuropa/oe_theme repository centered on user-facing enhancements and maintainability. Two features were delivered: an improved accordion component with a collapsible sidebar for dynamic content filtering and an extra_attributes property for extensibility, and updated footer templates that introduced a feedback section across corporate and EU branding. The implementation relied on Twig for templating and conditional rendering, with YAML used for configuration. Each feature was accompanied by thorough documentation and functional tests to ensure cross-brand consistency and long-term stability. No major defects were reported, reflecting a focus on robust testing and clear, maintainable component design.
