Worked on the kestra-io/kestra repository, delivering targeted backend and CLI enhancements over a two-month period. Developed a new --skip-deprecated flag for the Kestra CLI’s plugindoc command, enabling selective documentation generation that omits deprecated plugins and streamlines maintenance workflows. Focused on clean integration and backward compatibility using Java and CLI development skills. Additionally, implemented a task cache serialization optimization by switching the WorkerTaskProcessor’s output to binary ION format, improving serialization performance while minimizing risk through a scoped core change. The work emphasized maintainable, performance-oriented solutions in Java, with attention to documentation quality and efficient backend processing.
