Worked on the RevenueCat/purchases-android repository to enhance RC Container Format v1 parsing security and streamline the API. Focused on enforcing mandatory checksum verification during decoding and validating configuration immediately upon parsing, which improved early error detection and overall security. Deferred decompression of content blobs until explicitly requested, optimizing memory management and runtime performance. Simplified the API by removing unused fields and unifying the decoding flow to prevent double decoding, increasing maintainability and robustness. Updated tests and integration fixtures to reflect stricter checksum requirements. Utilized Java and Kotlin, applying expertise in memory management, networking, and security throughout the development process.
