Improved the Docker-based development environment for Colima compatibility and automated dependency setup using Bash scripting, streamlining onboarding. Enhanced test reliability through robust setups and assertions, reducing environmental flakiness. Addressed publishing logic for live pages with unpublished revisions, aligning bundle releases and preventing inconsistent content states. Demonstrated expertise in Python, Django, Docker, and test automation throughout the development process.
May 2026: Delivered a correctness fix for publishing live pages with unpublished revisions in the dis-wagtail repository, aligning the publish flow with bundle publishes and preventing inconsistent content states. Added tests to validate behavior for unpublished revisions and scenarios with no pages published, increasing reliability for production releases. This work reduces risk of live pages remaining unpublished or incorrectly published during bundles and strengthens the overall release process.
