Worked on enhancing the test infrastructure for the dell/csi-powerscale repository, focusing on the Metadata Retriever client. The primary contribution involved refactoring existing tests to use Go’s t.Run functionality, which improved test organization and clarity. Additional tests were implemented to verify the correct creation of the metadata retriever client, increasing overall test coverage and maintainability. No production code changes were made during this period, as the work centered on backend development and testing practices. These improvements help reduce risk in metadata workflows and lay a stronger foundation for future feature development by ensuring more reliable and maintainable test suites.
