
Contributed to the UTDallasEPICS/UTDesign-Procurement repository by implementing granular per-item status tracking for procurement requests, enhancing workflow visibility and governance. Developed a new status field on RequestItem within the database, integrated it into the StudentRequestCard component, and created a dropdown-enabled user interface for both student and admin roles to update item statuses. Ensured API persistence for all status changes using JavaScript, TypeScript, and SQL. Additionally, focused on codebase maintainability by removing obsolete autocomplete search code, reducing technical debt while preserving existing functionality. Prioritized clean, traceable commits to support future development and facilitate easier onboarding for new contributors.
