Bjorn Neergaard developed IPSet support for the Configuration Checker in the thaJeztah/docker repository, enhancing validation for ipset-enabled systems. He implemented new flags for NETFILTER_XT_SET and IP_SET_HASH_NET within the contrib/check-config script, using shell scripting and leveraging his expertise in Linux networking concepts. This addition improved the accuracy of configuration validation and reduced the risk of misconfiguration for deployments that rely on advanced Netfilter and ipset features. Bjorn’s work focused on configuration management and system administration, expanding the tool’s coverage and making onboarding smoother for environments with complex networking requirements. The feature was delivered in February 2025.
