Focused on Go-based middleware, the developer co-authored a targeted bug fix that corrected the OpenTelemetry span kind for outbound HTTP requests in the Authenticate Middleware. This adjustment aligned tracing data with the middleware’s client role, improving the accuracy of distributed tracing and reducing friction during debugging.
