Worked on enhancing label management integrity within the OpenStack Data Plane Service in the openstack-operator repository. Addressed a bug by implementing a safeguard that checks for the existence of label keys before adding new ones, ensuring that existing labels are preserved and preventing unintended mutations. This approach reduced the risk of misconfiguration and improved runtime stability for OpenStack resource labeling in Kubernetes environments. The solution was developed using Go and focused on backend development practices, with changes linked to Jira OSPRH-17457. The work contributed to more reliable label handling and better operational consistency in production deployments of OpenStack services.
