During February 2025, Blieque modernized APT repository management for the Armbian project by migrating both armbian/configng and armbian/build repositories from legacy .list files to the deb822 .sources format. This transition, implemented using shell scripting and DevOps practices, enforced HTTPS for all Armbian repositories to enhance security and reduce supply-chain risk. Blieque ensured backward compatibility by restoring support for legacy configurations and refining regex logic to prevent accidental overwrites of third-party sources. Comprehensive documentation updates accompanied these changes, resulting in streamlined package management, improved reliability, and safer repository handling for maintainers and users across Armbian’s build infrastructure.
