Worked on maintenance and risk reduction for the NoRedInk/noredink-ui repository by focusing on configuration management rather than feature development. Addressed stability concerns by removing the Dependabot automation for GitHub Actions, centralizing dependency updates and shifting to a manual review process. This change involved deleting the .github/dependabot.yml file, which previously enabled automated dependency updates, thereby reducing the risk of unexpected changes in the CI pipeline. Utilized YAML for configuration management and applied DevOps principles to improve release reliability. The work emphasized careful control over automated processes, prioritizing stability and maintainability over the introduction of new user-facing features.
